I try to be as active as I can in the Alberta creative scene. From attending open mics and poetry slams regularly, to working with art magazines, to volunteering at major art festivals/events, my aim is to learn as much about the art community as I do about art itself. Because, after all, art is just a community built on creativity, hard work, and genuine human expression, which means two things: Transformers by Michael Bay is not art, and my obligation to my own art is to learn as much as I can from my community.
